Benefits of membership
Membership of The Sanders Society entitles you to contribute to the running of the
Society through attendance and voting rights at the Society's annual general meeting.
At this early stage of the Society, a start-up group, consisting of John Sanders's
family and friends, will manage the Society until such time as sufficient membership
exists to call the first AGM. It is hoped that this first AGM will take place in
autumn 2008. At this meeting the membership will appoint the first formal committee,
who will then be able to decide the more detailed aims and objectives of the Society.
As a member of the Society, you will receive a newsletter several times a year, which
will include details on the progress of the Society in its work in cataloging John's
music, and further information on the availability of recordings and publications.
Cost of membership
Annual membership fees are £15 for adults and £10 for students under
the age of 18. Five year membership for just £50 and life membership for £400 are also available.
Society constitution
The Society's formal constitution will be drawn up by the first committee formally
appointed by the membership. Until that time, the start-up group aims to publicise
the Society, gain an initial membership, and initiate the first composition competition.
Donations
The Society also accepts donations from non-members. These may be made using
PayPal and credit card or by sending a cheque, made payable to 'The Sanders
Society', to:
The Sanders Society,
